Association launched to promote digital technologies in social care
LONDON: A new association has been launched to promote the use of digital technologies in the social care sector.
The Care Software Providers Association (CASPA) will represent the views and interests of social care software providers whilst promoting advances in the flow of digital information across social care, to allow more openness and transparency.
Founded by Person Centred Software, everyLIFE Technologies and Nourish Care, the association is independent and not-for-profit.
The association will also lobby parties outside social care to improve digital information flow between social care and other parts of the public sector, the NHS in particular.
In addition, it will create standards, such as those for electronic information transfer, where such standards do not currently exist.
The association will present members’ views when making representations to government and other agencies; when reviewing policy or legislation; and when seeking the wider views of the business community. Members benefit from having a central point of contact on issues facing the industry.
