Best multigenerational housing design for Global Awards shortlisted

LONDON: The shortlist for the best multigenerational housing design has been declared.

Over 250 designs have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown below.

Peter Barber’s first scheme, 95 Peckham Road, for developer Kuropatwa, is a multigenerational tenement-style mansion block of 33 homes, which the judges said was not possible to pass ‘without smiling’. It has 35 percent affordable, translating as eight affordable homes with two council homes, six intermediate and the rest for private sale.

The Global Award winner will be announced in December in London. (Globals)
