Best-selling entrance control gates sport new look for 2019

MELBOURNE: Security solutions provider Centaman Entrance Control has re-imagined its popular EasyGate SR and SG models to make them slimmer, more stylish and more welcoming for users.

The models, two of Australasia’s best-selling speedgates, have been redesigned with smaller pedestals that are 125 mm wide and either 1,320 mm or 1,000 mm long, depending on customer preferences.

Centaman Entrance Control General Manager Michael Bystram said the innovation aimed to give aquatic, fitness and recreation centres and corporate offices an attractive entrance control solution that was unobtrusive and able to fit in even the smallest of spaces.

Bystram advised that many larger entrance control gates only allow for one entry and exit lane to be installed in some areas, which could result in wait-times during busy periods.

With the upgraded models allowing for two lanes, thus increasing efficiency, Bystram advised “these are among the slimmest and sleekest speedgates available in Australia and New Zealand. They are some of our best-selling gates and are ideal for leisure centre operators and corporate customers that want effective security that isn’t intimidating.”

The EasyGate SG and SR models feature 835 mm high strengthened-glass barriers that swing open when a valid access card is used.

The SG model has round-edged pedestals while the SR model has square-edged pedestals. Both can be configured with wider lane widths to allow for wheelchair access and ensure compliance with Australia’s Disability Discrimination Act 1992.
