Boomers being targeted by high rise wellness developers

LONDON: Boomers are the marketing target for a group of developers specialising in vertical wellness communities.

More than $71 million worth of units inside a wellness-themed southern Gold Coast residential tower have sold in a single weekend.

Coolangatta’s Esprit was launched to the market on Saturday by developer S & S projects, with the $130m tower the latest to be swept up by both local and interstate buyers who bought more than half its 97 units.

A significant number of buyers came from Covid-afflicted Sydney’s beachside suburbs and inner city as well as Melbourne’s outer suburbs.

S & S boss Paul Gedoun, who is behind the under-construction Flow residences and Awaken Residences, said the initial burst of sales had exceeded expectations.

“Luxury demand is pulsating across the southern Gold Coast,” he said

“Esprit is a new luxury residential high-water mark for Rainbow Bay on so many levels and that has been validated by the extraordinary number of sales secured over the weekend.

The tower will have the city’s first “residents-only wellness rooftop”, including a swimming pool and an eye-catching slide.
