Former hotel now converted into innovative seniors apartments

LONDON: A former Hotel has been converted into an affordable senior housing community through a partnership between Model Group and Episcopal Retirement Services. An Artworks mural by artist Cedric Michael Cox adorns the Lincoln Avenue side of the expanded building.

During the mid-20th century, the Manse Hotel played host to many celebrities, including 1956 Cincinnati Reds first baseman and rookie of the year Frank Robinson.

During the era of segregation, the Manse hosted African-American visitors when they could not stay at hotels downtown. Famous people, including Frank Robinson and James Brown, stayed at the Manse.

The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
