Grey nomads drive higher standards from R.V. manufacturers

MELBOURNE: Grey nomads are taking glamping to new levels with a world-first voice activated recreational vehicle (R.V.).

The innovative RV, created by Australian company Jayco, comes with a virtual personal assistant, Amazon Alexa. It means campers can make voice commands, such as requesting their favourite music.

Jayco CEO Garry Moore said integrating technology with caravans was a natural step that had been taken in other areas of life.

“We rely heavily on technology when it comes to our home and work lives, and it shouldn’t be any different when it comes to your caravan,” Mr Moore said. The technology is available in the Jayco Silverline range, which also includes other features such as a wi-fi extender.

And Mr Moore said the Australian manufacturer’s world-leading innovation wouldn’t stop there.

“We will continue to lead the revolution of the RV industry, and smart technology (in) Jayco caravans is just the start,” Mr Moore said.
