Health Metrics set to launch telehealth app
MELBOURNE: Health Metrics has launched a new cloud-based application that helps residential aged care homes facilitate video consultations for residents.
The new solution, eCase Telehealth, allows aged care residents to have ongoing medical consultations and stay in touch with their loved ones via video.
The software comes in response to measures in place to restrict visitors to aged care facilities to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
It allows aged care providers to manage many of their facility activities remotely.
Doctors, allied health professionals and pharmacists can also use the application for resident consultations and meetings with staff.
There is also potential for multiple users to be online at the same time, such as a resident, staff member and the doctor or pharmacist, during medication administration.
Features include high definition video conferencing, real-time monitoring, chat messaging, screen and file sharing, calendar integration and major browser support.
Health Metrics CEO Steven Strange said fast solutions were required during these challenging times.
“We are offering two months of free integrated eCase Telehealth functionality for our user base and also for others in the industry.
“With no obligations and no contracts,” Mr Strange said.
“We understand there is a major need for this technology right now in our industry and we want to make it as uncomplicated as possible,” he said.
