InventHelp inventor develops visual assistance device

PITTSBURGH: An inventor from Dallas, Ga., has developed the READING BUDDY, a visual assistance device for individuals who have sight impairments.

“I ended up having to get 20 pairs of reading glasses a year. My invention is for people who cannot read without glasses, but would like a mobile, central location to read,” said the inventor. The READY BUDDY offers an aid for people with visual disabilities. It allows an individual to see text in magnified form. It also allows a user to have a workstation wherever convenient and comfortable in a hospital, nursing home or elsewhere. This device can accommodate any printed document, book (such as the Bible) or magazine as well as electronic device. It can be used while crocheting or doing needlepoint. It enhances visibility and reduces eyestrain. This device is convenient and easy to use, and is adaptable for use with any standard chair, bed or stool.
