Live-in care service amongst fastest growing tech companies
LONDON: A live-in care service has been named as one of the fastest growing tech companies.
Elder is among the businesses to feature in this year’s COVID-19 edition of the Tech Track 100.

This year’s listing highlights the important contribution that technology companies have made to the UK during the pandemic, from supporting the NHS to enabling remote working.
As the social care system has been stretched like never before, Elder has won accolades for adapting seamlessly to the challenges of the pandemic.
The unbelievable dedication of the carers, who remained with their clients throughout the first wave, resulted in mortality rates 83% lower than residential care. This was no doubt helped by the live-in care agency providing PPE to all carers while on placement.
As well as protective equipment, the company supported carers by hosting virtual get-togethers and partnered with the likes of Uber and ZipCar to ensure they could travel safely for less.
The start-up has also sought to support the NHS and local authorities. A recent collaboration with Brighton and Hove Council, praised by commissioners, helped free up hospital beds in the city while enabling elderly people to get back to the safety of their homes.
The listing comes a week after the company announced it was creating 1,500 new live-in care jobs to respond to a huge increase in demand throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
