Best quirky boomer home community for Global Awards shortlisted

LONDON: The shortlist for the best quirky boomer home community has been declared.

Over 250 entries have been considered by the awards secretariat. One of the finalists in this category is shown here.

An Aberfeldie entertainer’s dream, known as the “motorbike house” for the aqua-coloured Classic that has been parked in its front window for several years is ready for a new owner to take it for a spin.

The revved-up listing at 140 The Boulevard comes complete with a nine-car garage and an eye-catching bar that displays 114 wine bottles.

Designed by Bagnato Architects, the property also has a lift and home gym with a steam room.

The owner, who asked not to named, said a never-ridden 2017 Royal Enfield 350 Classic motorbike was the lounge room’s “centrepiece”.

“It’s become quite a feature as it’s very visible from the front of our home, with most people referring to our home as the ‘motorbike house’,” the vendor said.

“We like collecting art and it’s literally a piece of art on wheels.”

The owner described his 30sq m basement as “an automobile collectors’ dream garage”.

The Global Award winner will be announced in November in London. (Globals)
