Innovative housing for mix of seniors, families and disability
SAINT-JÉRÔME: An innovative 65-unit affordable housing project is mixing families, semi-independent seniors and people with an intellectual disability.
The construction of this project, which required investments of close to $13 million, is an initiative of the non-profit organization Cité Les Trois R. The building contains four bachelor units, 45 one-bedroom units, 10 two-bedroom units and 6 three-bedroom units.
Cité Les Trois R provides affordable housing in a safe and warm living environment. Tenants have access to a multipurpose room and living room, which can be used for family gatherings. They can also get together to participate in communal activities in the horticultural greenhouse.
