Supportive housing development now fully-framed for early finish
LONDON: A new supportive housing and care project is now fully framed and set for an early opening.
Located just north of the Banning Museum at 11435 N. Eubank Avenue, the project will consist of 55 one-bedroom apartments for unhoused seniors, as well as a two-bedroom manager’s unit. Other features include supportive services and a 19-car surface parking lot.
D33 Design & Planning is designing the apartment complex, which is centered on a contemporary three-story structure. Besides housing, the building will feature a community room, a laundry facility, and meeting spaces. On the exterior, an outdoor park-like area with a courtyard, benches, tables and chairs will sit near the eastern face of the property toward Eubank Avenue.
According to a staff report issued by Los Angles city staff, the project carries an approximately $31-million budget – or roughly $561,000 per unit. The cost of the building was attributed to the inclusion of solar infrastructure, as well as the abandonment of an oil well which previously occupied the site.
SagePointe, which began construction in early 2022, is expected to open in mid-2023. At that point, residents for the new apartments will be identified through Los Angeles County’s coordinated entry system.
Linc is currently in the planning or construction stages for numerous projects across Los Angeles County, including a proposed 340-unit development which would be Glendale’s largest affordable housing complex.
