Boomers sought to underpin multigenerational resort lifestyle offering

LONDON: Another housing option has been created to appeal to the cashed-up baby boomer market.

A visionary masterplanned community on the northern Gold Coast is fusing luxury with sustainability to create the ultimate resort lifestyle.

Harbour Shores represents the largest and most dynamic community development in Lewis Land’s 65-year history, delivering architectural homes and apartments immersed in nature and world-class amenities.

Boasting a 6-star Green Star Communities V1.1 rating – the highest level of sustainability of any project on the Gold Coast – Harbour Shores will deliver more than 2000 homes over the next 10 years.

The first stage within the community’s South Shore precinct delivers three residential collections including luxury three and four-bedroom waterfront villas at The Residences, as well as apartments in The Waterline and Palm House – low-rise buildings surrounded by resort-style amenities.

Lewis Land chief executive Brett Draffen said the 16ha Harbour Shores masterplan, located opposite Harbour Town shopping centre, was one of the Gold Coast’s last remaining greenfield waterfront development sites and would become a future-focused community.

“Harbour Shores has been designed as a place for all generations to live and thrive within a connected ‘village of villages’, where neighbourhoods are connected by extensive landscaping, green spaces and pedestrian networks, including a 1.2km waterfront boardwalk,” he said.

“More than 200,000 new native and tropical plants will immerse the residential spaces in nature, while rainwater harvesting and retention tanks, solar power and electric vehicle charging stations will ensure Harbour Shores is built for the future.

“Pet-friendly green spaces, playgrounds and a 1ha community parkland called The Green are interwoven across the South Shore precinct, encompassing more than half the site.

“The design approach also includes a significant focus on architecture and diverse housing typologies that embrace the Gold Coast’s enviable climate.”

The Residences are spread across two levels with luxury finishes, private plunge pools, subtropical landscaping and privacy, which Mr Draffen said offered an unrivalled lifestyle at Harbour Shores.

“The collection of two-storey homes offers a selection of three and four-bedroom floorplans, each designed to maximise water views and capitalise on access to the Boardwalk and marina berths,” he said.

“The Waterline adjoins the central 1ha park and features a collection of 71 two- and three-bedroom apartments across six levels, with views up and down the water. With an emphasis on subtropical, resort-style living, each apartment is oriented to capture either water or park views, framed by floor-to-ceiling windows and refined coastal interiors.

“The Waterline will have access to their own private pool and rooftop amenities, as well as an array of other private amenities located throughout Harbour Shores.”

Mr Draffen said three double-storey Sky Homes on the upper levels of The Waterline featured their own extraordinary amenities and captured views towards the Broadwater.

“The Sky Homes range from 268sq m to 344sq m and feature multiple living zones, large private balconies and rooftop terraces, capturing sensational views,” he said.

“Palm House is embedded in the lifestyle of Harbour Shores and is designed for people who value easy access to the recreation, relaxation and wellness spaces of the community.

“The collection of 60 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments are spread across five levels of living with direct access to an abundance of amenity, including a 25m lagoon pool, social clubhouse, tennis court, gym, yoga and sauna facilities.”

Mr Draffen said he was looking forward to seeing Lewis Land’s vision realised in the first stage.

“We have opened an interim sales display at Harbour Town, located next to the central fountain, to showcase our first residential releases at Harbour Shores ahead of the formal project launch and display unveiling in July,” he said.

Upon completion, Harbour Shores will deliver communal open spaces and parklands, a waterfront boardwalk, private marina berths and retail spaces, and world-class resident amenities.
